iRing is a small device the shape of a ring that connects the mobile phone, instead of the original charger. This done, place the phone on a table called yield surface fitted to certain establishments. This table transmits energy to the ring load the laptopimmediately. Everything is done wirelessly. Iring is not only compatible with mobilephones, it is also with computers and music players. The device is free, as well as the service.
It must ring this charger Powerkiss Finnish group. Iring was tested in the Finnish capitalHelsinki and will soon be available in 30 airports across the Europe.
I personaly find this stupid. In Europe, we have a cool thing, it's called the.. Europe. Since this year, all manufacturer (even Apple) have to use an "universal charger". In other words, all phone in Europe can be charged with a micro-usb cable. I don't know how it is in America, but to my mind, it make this things useless.
And yeah, the name is fucking lame.
well if it's wireless, then i think it's a step in the right direction.
RépondreSupprimerwireless power transmission is the next big thing in PCs and mobiles. :)
I agree.. what a stupid name ;P
RépondreSupprimerI agree with Jay, who needs cables when you can have this thing integrated in a phone and charge it wireless
RépondreSupprimerThat really makes no sense
RépondreSupprimerhows the "wirkungsgrad"?
RépondreSupprimerlike how much energy is lost due air transfer?
Wtf O.o
RépondreSupprimerLooks interesting.
RépondreSupprimerwhat is that? O_O
RépondreSupprimerLooks really funky, no idea.
RépondreSupprimerI think the ring shape is stupid, but it's a neat concept. In America we still use different kinds of chargers because our consumers are stupid and will pay for it. Although we are getting closer to one universal cable. But again, easy charging in public places without having to plug anything in is a great idea.
RépondreSupprimerIt's pretty good to listen, keep share.
RépondreSupprimerwell you can charge multiple things at once, thats an advantage no?
RépondreSupprimeri actually find that thing pretty interesting!
RépondreSupprimeranways nice blog, ill follow and support you :D
Yeah, I don't really see any substantial benefit over just a charger, and I've also seen charging stations in shops and bars that have connectors for most modern phones.
RépondreSupprimerI think I'll make a post about the concept of air power transmission. Like mac-and-me suppose, there are a lot of loss. And Kyle should understand why the shape is a ring.
RépondreSupprimerErf, I suppose.
Oh how I need this in my life. My blackberry's battery dies so fast it's not even funny. I hate carrying around a usb charger or even the actual wall charger itself. I need to get one these. You may have just made my battery concerns worry free. Thanks.
RépondreSupprimerThat's Finland for you...making things just for the sake of making them
RépondreSupprimerOh the things we make, how nice
RépondreSupprimerExcept my phone dies in like 5 hours, so i would need this lol
RépondreSupprimerWow this is neat!
RépondreSupprimeryeah in europe its useless usb charger rocks
RépondreSupprimerthats stupid
RépondreSupprimerlol, cool idea, but they need to make it less obvious. Following your blog.
RépondreSupprimerWell it looks kinda neat...Thats gotta count for something.
RépondreSupprimerThat's cool!
RépondreSupprimerit makes no sense :P
RépondreSupprimerhaveing this ugly thing with me all the time, and only can charge it on the airport, ore take an universal charger with me that i can plug into every power socket? I go with the universal charger
RépondreSupprimerits just the beginning of wireless power so of course its lame... so were TVs in the 50s by today's standards.
RépondreSupprimerThis technology will eventually make it to vehicles and we will all win when that happens.
RépondreSupprimerIts look great
RépondreSupprimerthat ring looks really stupid... maybe a few years ago it could have been a good idea
